The problem of bee health and immunity attracted sixty listeners

Bees, like any insect, have an immune system that allows them to respond to the environment and pathogens. Hemocytes and substances in hemolymph mediate immune responses. Almost sixty listeners have learned more about the processes involved and research in this area covered by MUNI scientists.

"A wide range of guests arrived at our workshop, not only from the Czech Republic but also from Slovakia. They were both academics and practitioners. The interest in the event was pleasantly surprising," said Dr. Helena Nejezchlebová, who organized the workshop in cooperation with TTO.
