Research in cancer treatment has attracted investors

Associate Professor Vítězslav Bryja from the Faculty of Science presented his promising research on cancer treatment to investors this week. Together with a team of biologists and chemists from MUNI, he is working on the development of casein kinase 1 inhibitors that could help fight leukemia and other types of tumors. "At the Bio-Europe Spring conference in Vienna, there were roughly a dozen meetings with those interested in this technology. Some of the negotiations showed a serious interest of companies in investing in the project. Now we are going to enter into confidentiality agreements so that we can discuss the details of the project. However, we can already say that this project is interested in potential investors, "says TTO Business Development Manager Jana Daňková, who is in charge of the case.

Bio-Europe Spring was held from 25 to 27 March in the Vienna Congress Center. Around eight hundred companies from the industry participated in the conference.
